Where it all began...Meet our three awesome original does who came to our farm as little doelings in 2012. Polly, Coco, and Annie. They are all excellent milkers, great mommas, and have provided us tremendous joy. Polly (our beloved herd queen) and Annie (our doting momma) have since passed on, while Coco leads the herd as our oldest doe and looked after by her daughter, Gracie Mae .
Our goats are registered Nigerian Dwarfs (dual registered with AGS & ADGA). We decided to get Nigerian Dwarf goats because of their small size, great personalities, wonderful colors, and nutritious & delicious milk! Nigerian Dwarfs have the highest butterfat content of all goat dairy breeds so their milk makes for great cheese, great drinking, and other wonderful products.
We chose our original three doelings based on good milking genetics and brought them to our farm in 2012. Our does have been amazing in every way...their milk (great producers), their kids, and the tremendous joy they give us everyday!
Some farms put their does on "milk test" to measure the performance of milk production which is a structured program. We were thinking of doing it but then recognized that we like to do our own thing and not be so regimented about it. We know our goats, what they produce, and the great qualities they have. We have been selective with our breeding to produce wonderful animals that make terrific milkers, mommas, herd sires, and pets. We take extreme pride in raising happy & healthy animals in a wonderful environment and always seek like minded individuals who would like to purchase our goats when available.
Special Note: We are retiring from breeding but will still manage and care for our wonderful goat herd. We sold all of our bucks but may have a few select does for sale. In addition, we may know of kids available through friends so please inquire within. Thank you!
